DID YOU KNOW??

Did you know that the HOA’s Recreation Center has been closed, either partially or completely, for over a year? Approximately one-half of the facility was closed in July of 2022 when water leakage following severe thunderstorms caused extensive flood damage. Further closures occurred in March and June of 2023 following the discovery of toxic black mold and underlying water damage throughout the facility.

And beyond these major events, poor planning and completely ineffective leadership by the Board of Directors have allowed building leaks to persist. This has resulted in ongoing water damage to the Recreation Center as we work our way through another monsoon season.

Did you know that the HOA’s 2022 and 2023 Boards of Directors, both under the presidency of Mr. David Li, have been aware that structural problems involving the HOA’s Recreation Center have needed urgent attention since at least July of 2022. Despite this, it was not until July of THIS year that the Board brought in a commercial building inspector to look into the situation. But even after receiving confirmation on July 27th, 2023, that serious structural issues and associated water leakage exist, the Board has failed to outline a specific plan to take care of the problem.

Did you know that the presence of toxic black mold and a rodent infestation were discovered in the HOA’s Recreation Center over 5 months ago. The entire facility, which had already been partially closed since July of 2022, was completely shut down at that time. Initial clean-up efforts failed, and the Recreation Center remains closed to residents indefinitely.

Did you know that the presence of toxic black mold and rodents in the HOA’s Recreation Center posed serious health risks to the Community’s residents and their guests? The Board of Directors had a duty to notify every single resident of the Community (both homeowners and non-homeowners alike) that, if they or their guests had been utilizing Recreation Center facilities prior to closure, they may have been exposed to major health hazards. No such notice has been sent out.
